Elderberry

$50.00

Sambucus canadensis

Elderberry is a moderate sized shrub that produces many small white flowers and dark-colored berries. Leaves turn yellow in the fall. This shrub spreads easily and responds well to cutting and pruning. It is particularly well suited for wet sites and tolerates acidic soil conditions.

Elderberry is commonly planted for landscaping, erosion control, shoreline, wildlife and pollinator habitat. Birds often feed on the berries.
