About the North St. Louis SWCD

The North St. Louis Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a local government agency providing conservation and resource management services. In cooperation with federal, state and local agencies, the District provides technical assistance, cost-sharing and natural resource management information and education. Landowners, businesses, industry and agencies may request these services.

Our district covers the boundaries highlighted in green above. We service land-occupiers in St. Louis County, north of the 54th township line. The district is operated by locally elected board supervisors from 5 Supervisor Nomination Districts outlined above.

The mission of the North Saint Louis Soil and Water Conservation District is to encourage sustainable use of our natural resources by engaging people in soil and water conservation in northern Saint Louis County.
